2 Airmen Rescued After Crash in Sea
MANILA, Nov. 15 — A United States Air Force search plane today rescued two American airmen whose jet trainer crashed in the South China Sea off Lubang Island, south of the entrance to Manila Bay. United States 18th Air Force headquarters at Clark Field, where the plane is based, said the men were spotted on beach in Southeast Lubang. The men were identified as Capt. Fay D. Fulton, operations officer of the 18th Air Force, from Chicago, Ill., and Airman 2c George W. Tuescher of Plattsville, Wis. An Air Force spokesman said the jet, a T-33 trainer, ran out of fuel shortly before dark yesterday.
