RUSSIANS ATTACKING BLACK SEA COAST NOW

ROME, Oct. 28.—A Bucharest dispatch to the Stefani News Agency filed yesterday says that the Russians have begun an attack on the Black sea coast of Bulgaria. "A Russian fleet arrived at 6 o'clock this morning off the Bulgarian coast," the correspondent wires, "and immediately began bombardment of Varna. Shelling was still proceeding at 11 o'clock. Considerable damage has been done to the town." Varna is one of the two chief Black sea ports of Bulgaria. It has been reported on several occasions since Russia decided to proceed against Bulgaria that it would attempt to send troops from Odessa to invade Bulgaria. It was assumed that if such an attempt would be made Varna or Burgas would be selected as the point of attack. It was reported unofficially on October 2 that Varna had been bombarded by Russian cruisers.
