FIFA lifts Balogun's World Cup suspension after Trump calls Infantino
France 24 →US President Donald Trump called FIFA president Gianni Infantino and asked him to review the World Cup suspension of US striker Folarin Balogun, a source familiar with the matter said on Sunday. FIFA later lifted Balogun's one-match ban, clearing him to face Belgium in the last 16 after his red card against Bosnia.
Suspension Lifted For IS on Team
LEXINGTON, Nebr., Aug. 4 Fifteen members of the Lexington Red Sox of the Class D Nebraska State League were reinstated yesterday after a 24-hour suspension resulting from what was described as an all-night party. Manager Jack Kaiser ordered the suspension Saturday. He said Johnny Murphy, farm director of the parent Boston Red Sox, ordered the reinstatement with fines. Lexington fielded only nine players, including five pitchers, for its game with Kearney Saturday night. Kearney won handily, 18-7.
